19th Century Handwork - Quilting & Rugmaking Workshops Sept 13 & 14

Upper Canada Village provides the ideal setting to learn 19th century quilting and rugmaking. Students will have the opportunity to view samples of quilts and rugs from the Village's own collection. On Sept. 13, Upper Canada Village handwork specialists will teach hand-quilting techniques, following 19th century patterns. Students will take home a pin cushion or pot holder. On Sept. 14, hooked, shirred and braided rugmaking techniques will be explored. Students will take home a hot pad.

Location: Upper Canada Village - Blue House
Times: 9 to 4:30
Coffee and snacks are provided. Participants are welcome to bring their own lunch or buy lunch at one of the Village's restaurants.

Program fee: $95 per person per day (taxes extra).
Includes most materials. Rug hooking frames will be provided but are not included in the above fee. Maximum of 16, minimum of 8 participants.
